Kim Newsome
Vice President Finance and Administration
Hello fellow AUSU members!
My name is Kim Newsome and I'm happy to be serving you on the 2010-2012 AUSU council. I've been an
AUSU student since 2007 and am slowly working towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree. This is my first
University experience and I'm loving AU!
Since being on council, I have had the pleasure of serving on Finance Committee, Awards Committee and
Media Committee. I'm also overjoyed to have recently been elected Vice President of Finance and Administration.
I currently live in the tiny town of Digby, Nova Scotia where I work as an administrative assistant. AU
was the perfect choice for me because it allows me to study while working full time. It also allows me to study
at my own pace so that I am free to participate in all the activities that I love, such as hockey, golf, running,
playing guitar and fiddle, and helping out at the local fire department.
AUSU continues to be a great learning experience and I am happy to be able to contribute my current
skills and gain new ones. I look forward to working for you now and into the future.
