person coffee groups.

We are also in the process of starting up a peer support program, in conjunction with the Athabasca University Psychology Students' Society and AU.  This service will help students gain some practical human services-related volunteer experience and it will help students who are stressed, confused or frustrated and needing to vent to a sympathetic peer.  Watch for information on the development of this program.

Furthermore, we do our best through this twice-yearly newsletter to inform you of AUSU and AU events that may be of interest to you.    This newsletter is mailed out

Another thing we are working on is improving our services to students.  Instead of the traditional planner that we've handed out over the past few years, we are opting to hand out student packs filled with cool "school-related" AUSU merchandise.

We would also like to act as a liaison for students who are interested in meeting other students in their area.  We understand that one of the greatest things about university is the friends you meet and we want all AUSU students to make some new friendships while they are at AU  - whether it is on-line in our chat room or on our discussion board; through the Study Buddy Program or through in-

to all 15,000 + AU undergrad students as well as AU staff.  Throughout the rest of the year, to stay up to date on AUSU and AU information that affects you, keep an eye on the AUSU website.

We are here to help you be successful in your studies.

Feel free to contact any one of us on Council with your questions, comments, concerns or ideas (contact info is on the last page).

Many students do not realize just how many services we offer--so make sure to check out our website or contact our office.
