Student ID

Athabasca University students are able to request a new photo ID card in one of three ways:

  1. Students can go to the Office of the Registrar at Athabasca University Central, the Edmonton Learning Center or the Calgary Learning Centre to have their pictures taken.
  2. Students who are unable to come to one of our locations during normal business hours can complete a Student I.D. Card Request Form and forward it to our offices with a passport sized photo.
  3. Students who are unable to come to one of our locations during normal business hours, but have access to a scanner, can complete a copy of the Student I.D. Card Request Form and mail it to the Office of the Registrar. In this instance, we request students scan the front portion of their current driver's license. (Please note: scanned images must be submitted in JPEG file format).

Please go to the Office of the Registrar's Student I.D. Card page for more information.
