Hello, I am a mom, wife and in 2015 became a mature student in the BA Psychology Program at AU. When I enrolled I was terrified and excited at the same time as it had been over 35 years since I had graduated high school.  With my future ahead of me, I took the leap and during this process have discovered a love of learning. Previous to enrolling, I was immersed in the non-profit sector in both management positions and as a volunteer. Prior to funding cuts, I was the Provincial Coordinator for Foodbanks Alberta and Coordinator of the Brooks Volunteer Centre.  I have facilitated and participated with innumerable boards and committees specializing in board development and volunteer and community engagement. I will provide a positive contribution to AUSU as I share my skills, and experience along with my understanding of the challenges that students encounter.  I have attended numerous council meetings and I would like to take a more active role to provide support and representation to students.
