For the Athabasca University Students’ Union (AUSU), the Awards and Bursaries Program embodies a commitment to academic excellence, student diversity, and the financial challenges that post-secondary students face. Developed with the unique needs of Athabasca University (AU) undergraduates, our Spring Cycle is open to all current AUSU members taking at least one (1) undergraduate course at AU. In the following guide, we present an overview of the program and spotlight the awards and bursaries open for applications, outlining eligibility criteria and the significance of each opportunity.

The Spirit of Awards and Bursaries at AUSU

Through the Awards and Bursaries Program, AUSU recognizes academic success, community spirit, and perseverance in the face of personal challenges. This program isn’t just about the recipient; it’s a celebration of the shared experiences that form the fabric of our AU student community.

The Spring Cycle, running from April 1st to April 30th, offers a suite of awards addressing a variety of circumstances. It reflects AUSU’s values, providing support to AU undergraduate student journeys. Please take a moment to explore the eight (8) categories below.
