Mo Phùng (They/Them), October Pride Speaker
Tuesday, October 18, 2022 @ 5:00 pm MDT – 6:00 pm MDT
Join us in welcoming Mo Phùng (They/Them), Tuesday, October 18 at 5 p.m. MT on Zoom for Reimagining Our Relationship to Self-Compassion.
What does it feel like to understand our identities, in an ever-evolving world? How can we extend into realms that move beyond just recognizing that there is a gender binary? On Tuesday, October 18th from 5:00pm – 6:00pm MST, Mo Phùng (they/them), Alchemist of Ancestral Services at Future Ancestors Services, will be holding space to talk about these questions and discuss how the colonization of queer and trans bodies and gender expressions continues to impact how we are able to show up today and who we get to become in the future.
Mo is a gender-queer Việt second-generation immigrant who is based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). They have a combined institutional and creative background in Marine Biology, Ocean Technology, visual arts, and documentary photography. They currently work as an Alchemist of Ancestral Services at Future Ancestors Services and on projects connecting the complexities of queer and trans identities & expressions and existences within the Asian diaspora and within chosen family.
