My priority is to ensure students concerns are viewed as a priority. I believe AUSU is a student platform where various types of issues can be brought forward, addressed, and a resolution can always be found. As for me, empathetic communication should be carried throughout our learning experiences and often students inquiries are not handled well. As a potential counsellor with AUSU I can demonstrate ways that we can be sincere towards one another to build a strong community both internally and externally.
Inclusivity is also key to building a strong community. As a student leader, it’s important to ensure that everyone feels welcome and valued, regardless of their background or identity. This means actively seeking out diverse perspectives and making sure that everyone has a voice in the organization.
