Hello, and welcome!
I’m the Communications and Member Services Coordinator at Athabasca University Students’ Union (AUSU), and my job is to enhance the Athabasca University (AU) undergraduate student experience through the valuable information, programs, and services we offer.
As a distance education university, AU students face unique challenges and we at AUSU are dedicated to providing support and resources that help you succeed. We offer a range of programs and services designed specifically for AU undergraduates, and I strongly encourage you to review them here!
AUSU also publishes regular information and opportunities through various communication channels, including our bi-monthly newsletter, the news page on our website, the AUSU Mobile App, and our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
If I can support your student experience at AU, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Land Acknowledgement
I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work in Amiskwacîwâskahikan, Beaver Hills House, on Treaty 6 territory, Turtle Island. This stolen land is the traditional travelling route, gathering place, and meeting grounds for Indigenous Peoples, including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others.
I am grateful for the Indigenous histories, languages, cultures, traditions, and people who have survived brutal colonial genocide and racism. Thank you to the Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us and those who have gone before us.
It is easier for settlers to deny Indigenous people their rights by historicizing their struggles and pretending they don’t exist. I commit to helping change the systems of oppression that have dispossessed Indigenous people of their lands and denied their rights to self-determination – work that is essential to human rights work across the world.
